What Has the Couple Been Up To?

Prince William, 38, and Kate Middleton, 39, persevered through the COVID-19 pandemic as a team, caring for and homeschooling their 3 beautiful children and juggling their royal responsibilities alongside.

With 10 years of togetherness, the couple has bloomed from globetrotting newlyweds stealing romantic getaways whenever the opportunity presented itself to perfectly contented parents whose world now centers around the lives they created.

Although you’ll find child-rearing slip into most of their conversations, it seems like they maintain the balance quite nicely and know when it’s time to take a break and hit the pub- before the pandemic, at least.

Throughout the craziness of 2020, the couple managed to spearhead many amazing projects- Kate with her Hold Still Photography challenge, where people were encouraged to submit pictures relating to the coronavirus pandemic. The Duke of Cambridge, on the other hand, spent his time making secret visits to homeless shelters.

The couple has also been on puppy duty! The family lost their dog of 8 years at the turn of last year, which prodded brother James Middleton to duly gift a new English cocker spaniel puppy to the family.

Kate Gets Real on Video Call

On a recent video call organized by Roe Green Junior School, where little Charlotte and George are students, Kate’s unsure and vulnerable parenting side stuck out like a sore thumb. When asked what parenting during the pandemic has been like for her, a one-word answer came through: exhausting- and we couldn’t agree more.

The Duchess revealed that the subject she has been struggling most with while homeschooling is math. When asked to rate her math skills on a scale of 1-10, she went for -5, stating that she’s right at the bottom when it comes to handling the subject.

During the same candid conversation, Princess Kate admitted that Prince William was her biggest support during the pandemic. She also added that the lockdown and isolation period was particularly difficult for many families as they were unable to fall back on their usual support systems.

Even Royals Weren’t Immune From Pandemic Pains.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been stowed away at Amner Hall ever since the outbreak and its seriousness was first reported. Moreover, the monarch of Great Britain has barely left Windsor Castle since last year and is in extensive quarantine with Prince Phillip.

As demanding as royal life can get, the pandemic put an indefinite question mark on all activities meant to be held in person. However, the royals saw them through with either a more distance-supporting medium or without the usual crowd.
