Paul Rudd is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer who has been in the entertainment industry for over three decades. He has appeared in numerous popular movies and TV shows, and his talent and charisma have won him numerous accolades and fans all over the world.
Despite his success, Rudd has always been known for being a down-to-earth and relatable person, and his family life has always remained a mystery to the public.
His kids “don’t care, nor should they.”
It is very astounding that Paul Rudd has been portraying Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, for a full ten years. Obviously, not enough to win over his children, at least not in Rudd’s opinion. That would be unreasonable.
However, the rest of us are still astonished that he has been portraying the character in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” for ten years. The actor and his wife Julie Yaeger attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” in 2023.
They skipped the huge event without their two kids, Darby, 13, and Jack, 17, who are both teenagers. Which, presumably, suited them just fine. Rudd responded, “I think I’m dad more than I’m Ant-Man or in the MCU,” when People questioned him about what his kids thought of him portraying “Ant-Man” (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
Paul’s reaction to the claim
Fortunately, Rudd didn’t really seem upset about their lack of enthusiasm for his work. He appears to take great delight in keeping his life as a father and his life as an actor apart, and he undoubtedly places more importance on the former.
When he was awarded the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2021, he said to People, “When I think about myself, I think of myself as a spouse and a father, like I’m that.” When I’m not working, I spend time with my family. I enjoy that the best.”
It makes sense why his kids aren’t overly excited about their dad’s highly famous career as a super-important superhero. He seems to have made an effort to ensure that they never feel the need to be wowed by his celebrity status. Alternatively, they are just teenagers. Teenagers are known for their quirks.
His career has been a “wild ride.”
Paul Rudd, the star of “Wanderlust,” continued to say that his career has been a “wild ride” and that being a part of the MCU has given him many opportunities that aren’t typically possible.
He further added that it’s like this kind of thing doesn’t simply happen, so it’s been a wild trip for over ten years, which is a long time. ” I have to travel to different countries. I’ve met many people I never would’ve met, and to be a part of something with such global interest has been an amazing experience.”
Following Ant-Man from 2015 and Ant-Man and the Wasp from 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to open in theatres on February 17.
