Have you ever seen the love between a fan and an artist? Isn’t it the purest, most unconditional, and limitless form of emotion?
We feel that that’s how all relationships should be. To keep this world running, people should start loving and appreciating each other without thinking about returns. And if you’re lucky enough to receive that kind of love from someone, you should try to go above and beyond to reciprocate it.
These celebs are pros at doing just that. They’ve received so much success in life because of their fans, and what’s appreciable is that they accept this and try to give back as much as they can to the people who adore them.
Join us as we give you a glimpse into a few incidents when celebs made their fans feel special.
In December 2020, when the whole world was going through a pandemic, the 40-year old Skims founder decided to lend a helping hand to the suffering people.
Kim posted on her social media that she will be distributing $500 to 1,000 people and asked her fans to send their cash tag with #KKWHoliday written alongside on her Twitter handle. Several people benefitted from the act, and it only added to KKW’s fan following.
Even though Jason looks like a hunk, he has a pure heart. The Game of Thrones actor shared a sweet FaceTime clip on his Instagram account, which won millions of hearts. In it, he is shown talking to Danny, a young fan who is currently battling cancer. Jason even reached out to his other fans requesting for donations for Danny.
Next in line is the four-time Grammy winner Keith Urban. In October 2018, Keith was busy prepping up for his concert in Ohio, when he decided to visit Marissa English, an ailing patient in the Mercy Health St. Vincent Hospital. The 25-year-old was in the hospice ward suffering from an inoperable brain cyst and cerebral palsy when Urban sang a capella for her. Later on at the concert, he dedicated the same song to her on stage.
Looks like the Stranger Things actor is a hell of a promise keeper! In January 2018, a fan asked Harbour how many retweets it would take for him to appear on her senior year pictures. To this Harbour responded with 25k, and when Damaris kept her word, the actor showed up at the event, making it a memorable one for the girl. Then in February 2018, another fan requested him to officiate his wedding if he manages to get 1,25,000 retweets, and when the it happened, David again kept his promise.
It’s common for celebrities to allow fans to propose to each other in their presence. But Tom Hanks had a unique way of pulling this off. In November 2017, when Tom was busy discussing his book, The Uncommon Type, a fan requested him to propose on his behalf to his loved one. Tom turned towards the crowd and asked Nikki Young if she would marry Ryan.
Summing it up
When a celebrity does something exceptional for a fan, it’s natural for them to be on cloud nine. We hope that other people will learn from the feeling behind such gestures and take out time to love and care for the people who truly appreciate them.
