The Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret, also enjoyed vacations and spent long holidays on Mustique, an island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean. For Princess Margaret, it all started when she saw the island for the first time in 1960 while on a cruise through the Caribbean. The owner, Colin Tennant, saw the princess’s interest in the land, and he gifted her 10-acre land as a wedding present. She used this land as a getaway from her busy schedule and public life to enjoy and host parties in the company of her friends.
