The Buckingham Palace’s Statement
After their split was confirmed a year later, Buckingham Palace issued a statement over the departure, which stated that the Queen has acknowledged their split from the royal family and doesn’t think they can continue serving the people anymore.
The couple’s official representative responded to this statement by mentioning that they will continue their charitable work since service is universal. In the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry highlighted the estranged relationship between him and his father. He also recalled that after the departure, he had stabilized himself and his family with the funds that were left to his name by his late mother, Princess Diana. He recently wrote a foreword for a book that is to target children who are suffering from the loss of a loved one during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hospital by the Hill
The book called ‘Hospital by the Hill’ contains an emotional tribute to his mother as he talks about the struggle he went through and having to deal with death at the young age of 12. He also penned down how it felt to witness a loss but, assures the readers that their emotions are valid and things get better. Throughout the foreword, Prince Harry provides advice and comforting words for those who have lost some they loved.
The book is written by Chris Connaughton and illustrated by Fay Troote. It narrates the story of a person dealing with the loss of their mother, who worked as a frontline worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. The book is free for those who have been suffering from the same situation in the United Kingdom
