Love is all that matters indeed!
Ever since Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated after Camilla Parker Bowles came into the picture, the latter received a cold shoulder from Di’s supporters. She was always projected as the other woman and blamed for Diana’s unhappiness.
But as the years passed, when people saw how happy Prince Charles was in her company, things started changing for Bowles. People started accepting her, and today, she stands with her head held high amidst the royals, like a true family member should. Yes, love conquers all…
The place Bowles has managed to create for herself in the hearts of the royal family is evident from the recent tributes she received on her 74th birthday. The Duchess of Cornwall was showered with love and blessings from royal family members and the general public. This is how she was made feel special.
A birthday worth remembering
On July 17, 2021, Camilla Parker Bowles turned 74. On her special day, she received a lot of wishes from all across the globe, but the ones sent by her family members stole the show. Her stepson Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton honored her by posting a picture on their Instagram feed. Alongside the photo, they wrote “a very happy birthday to the Duchess of Cornwall,” with a balloon emoji.
Following them, the Queen also shared a picture of her daughter-in-law on her social media handle. Bowles could be seen smiling at the camera in the photo as she wore a green jacket complemented with a patterned scarf. There was a happy birthday message with a cute little cake emoji accompanying the picture.
Many others also took to social media to share their well-wishes for Bowles. Westminster Abbey shared a picture of the Duchess on their official Twitter account. Wishing her a happy birthday, it informed people about the story behind the photograph.
It said that the photo was taken during Bowles’ recent visit to the church when she talked about the importance of encouraging children’s love for reading. Former MP Gyles Brandreth also posted a picture of Bowles and wished her on turning 74.
Seeing so much love, Bowles took to her and Prince Charles’s official Instagram account to thank her well-wishers. She wrote thank you for all the warm wishes with a cake emoji.
Bowles’ recent endeavors
Before her birthday, Bowles had a jam-packed schedule. She was busy touring the country with her husband. During the last few weeks, she visited St. James Park and read a story to school children while sitting on a life-size elephant statue. She and Charles even hit an old theater in West End to see how the renovations were going.
During their visit, they were accompanied by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. Bowles even went to the Big Lunch at the Eden Project, where the Queen gamely cut a cake with a ceremonial sword. And she also wished her younger stepson Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, on the arrival of their daughter Lilibet Diana.
