Kanye West is no alien name. Having served decades in Hollywood, the media mogul has been seen doing it all – singing, record producing, songwriting, fashion designing, business, and recently even politics! And that’s still not all! As it appears, the 44-year-old celeb also happens to be strongly participating in the real estate game.
Here’s What’s Up in Kanye’s World
Latest news reveals that West is looking for a new owner for his ranch located near Cody Wyoming. The property is currently on the market with a whopping $11 million price tag! Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, the 4,000 square feet property features panoramic views all around.
According to TMZ, this sizeable chunk of land cost the Yeezy designer $14 million. So then, what’s with the low sale price? Beats us!
Another source told People that during the time of West’s purchase, the property went by the name of Monster Lake Ranch, but when it was under Wests’ ownership, he began to call it West Lake Ranch. Reportedly, the rapper sometimes also referred to it as the Yeezy Campus – can’t say it doesn’t have a nice ring o it.
But Wait, There’s More
Even after the ranch sells, West’s Wyoming real estate portfolio doesn’t quite end there. The songwriter got his hands on another property in Greybull only 3 months after buying the Cody ranch. Both these estates were bought for the same price.
In May 2020, the rapper revealed what he had decided to do with the sprawling properties in a profile cover for GQ, stating that on one side of the sprawling 4,000 square feet property, he had started digging for a project which, by his calculations, would be the size of a spaceship. He also mentioned his plans to build dome dwellings for guests who wish to stay at the ranch, as well as his Sunday Service Choir house performances.
The Best of the Best
West had even enlisted a bunch of famous architects for this project, one of whom was Axel Vervoordt, a Belgian interior designer and member of the AD100 Hall of Fame. Axel helped in the design of Wests’ Hidden Hills mansion in California, which the mogul shares with his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
Getting back to West’s real estate portfolio, it seems like there’s nothing stopping him right now. As it appears, the rapper is already saying hello to a new home before even properly bidding adieu to the ranch. A source reveals that West has gotten his hands on a gorgeous beachfront residence located in Malibu, California for $60 million!
