The impact of the lockdown on Smiths’ relationship
Jada and Will have been together for an astounding 23 years. As such, it was quite a surprise when she revealed that the lockdown made her feel like she didn’t know anything about her husband.
Pinkett Smith said that when life gets busy, people often reach a stage where they start forming strong perceptions about their partners. They try to fit their significant others into their imaginations and believe that this is who their partner is. However, in reality, none of their thoughts turn out to be true.
Spilling more details about her relationship, Pinkett Smith said that presently, she’s dissolving all her perceptions and imaginations about Will and making a fresh start. The 49-year-old actress revealed that she and her husband are trying to become familiar with each other all over again.
With examples of ideal marriages and intimate relationships depending on friendship, Pinkett Smith said that she’s learning to be friends with her husband. Currently, their priority is to love themselves first and then build a healthy bond of friendship together.
The Girls Trip star said that it’s easy to drift away from your partner when you’ve been married for so long. Even tougher is accepting that you both don’t know each other as well as you’d thought.

The actress posted a picture on her Instagram handle with daughter Willow Smith, a photo-shopped image of the Queen of England, and herself sitting around the red table. Not much later, the post went viral and thousands of people commented with laughing emoticons saying that they wanted to see the Queen on the show.
