A sneak peek into Leo’s house
You might’ve heard of teenagers adorning their bedrooms with huge posters of Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack, especially during the ’90s. But what if we told you that Leo himself loves his character from the movie so much that he has a life-size poster of himself in a still from the movie hanging in his Malibu beach house!
There’s actually a lot more worth checking out in the property. Spread over 1,765 square feet, Leonardo bought it in 1998 for $1.6 million soon after the release of Titanic. The entire expanse includes a four-bedroom main house, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a third building dedicated to entertainment.
The third building holds a gym, an extra bedroom, and a home office. The outdoor area consists of a covered patio including a sun deck, a hot tub, and an easy access to Carbon Beach.
In 2016, the property was listed for $10.95 million, but later, Leo decided to convert it into a rental property, which currently fetches him a $25,000 monthly rent!
What’s with Leonardo’s Beach House?
On February 2, 2021, Megan Weaver appeared on the “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast, where she described her experience of staying at Leonardo DiCaprio’s Malibu house. While talking to the host, David Yontef, she said that the waterfront home was earlier jam-packed with Titanic collectibles. So much so that when DiCaprio’s mother, Irmelin, allowed Megan to stay at the house for a weekend, all that she saw was Titanic towels and posters.

She further joked that the only thing that the house lacked was Titanic-themed furniture! She revealed that the place where she stayed wasn’t the main house and that Leo rarely visited that area. Further, during the podcast, Megan shared that she used to think Leo’s mom gathered the collectibles because maybe she wanted to make him feel at home.
Well, whatever be the reason, the place was a delight to see for Megan. After all, who wouldn’t want to experience living inside a luxury cruise ship!
