Maya Rudolf is an American actress, comedian, and singer who has gained quite a fame over the years in Hollywood. Since the 1990s, she was actively part of an alternative rock band named ‘the rentals’ which brought her into the spotlight. In the year 2000, she became a part of the NBC late-night TV show, Saturday Night Live.
Since then, she has appeared in multiple films and TV projects showcasing her acting skills such as Bridesmaids, Idiocracy, and Grown-ups 2. Apart from her on-stage life, Maya is a mother to four children from her long-time boyfriend, Paul Thomas Anderson.
A House with History
Despite being busy with her acting gigs, Rudolph has taken the time to invest in a new property in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. This neighborhood is known for its lush green spaces, high-end restaurants, luxurious houses and apartment, and most importantly, high-profile inhabitants.
The home was previously owned by Katherine Kleveland who herself is a famous fashion designer and her husband, Colin Nash who is a producer at MTV. It was discovered that this house was sold by actress Kat Dennings, who previously bought it from the CEO of Who What Wear, Katherine Power. Let’s just say this house has seen its fair share of famous people.
Inside the Property
The house was sold for $2.6 million and it is worth the big price tag. Around 2,810 square feet in size, it includes 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms. The house displays its original design from 1938, the year it was built in. Its beauty is elevated with arched doorways and Tudor-style leaded windows.
While the house keeps close with its roots, it also encompasses a new modern age touch. The front of the house leads into a majestic high-ceiling living room which has an ebony fireplace on one end and a dining area, that is sunlit, on the other end. The kitchen has a different vibe to it, with white subway tile backsplash and quartz countertops.
One of the main bedrooms has an entire wall full of built-in shelves and drawers and displays a beautifully done bathroom with dark wood cabinets and marble countertops. The family room opens into the backyard through the extraordinary French doors alongside the artistic stone-paved patios. The yard is entirely fenced making it wonderfully suitable for the children to enjoy.
Maya Rudolph has struck gold with this amazing and cozy house that fits her personality so well.
