A quick look at the Yacht’s origin
Last December, Tom Brady paid $2 million to purchase the sleek yacht which he’s named “Viva a Vida” by Brady in honor of his wife Gisele Bundchen’s environmental endeavors.
The yacht is built by Dutch shipbuilder, Dorus Wajer, who is known for his elegant and classic launches, which he started making after founding his company Wajer Yachts in 1992. His yachts have a unique feature where the body gets equipped with light Volvo Penta IPS engines, making them unstoppable.
A peek inside the exotic beauty!
The letter S in the model stands for “Sport”. You’ll be surprised to know that the Wajer 55S is nothing like the other Wajer 55 models. It has an overall length of 53 feet along with a 14.4 feet beam and 4 feet draft.
Equipped with a 3X Volvo Penta IPS 600 D6 435 HP engine, the cruiser has a top speed of 40 knots (approximately 46 mph). With 28 knots cruising speed, its range expands to 450 NM (close to 517 statute miles).
It has an upgraded workhorse center console and cabin space below the decks that has room for four people. Most importantly, it has additional storage for luggage, gear-adds, and supplies.
Placed on the back of the beach club along the ligneous flotation line are beamed wooden stairs which go up to the upper deck. There’s also a glassy sun cover guarding the bridge, which has enough room for four additional people.
There’s a lot of extra space on the padded deck as well. Lastly, the hull has a customization option with multiple materials, including leather and different wood colors.

Dries Wajer, managing director of Wajer Yachts, explained that the company prefers customer’s wishes and tries to make innovative and creative adjustments to the upcoming yachts.
He thanked the customers for buying Wajer 55 models and said that its success pushed the company to work on Wajer 55S. While concluding, he disclosed that the company had sold more than 30 Wajer 55 models.
