Parents often do ridiculous things to keep their children happy, and that includes dressing up in silly costumes and getting their hair and makeup done. From Hilary Duff to Charlize Theron, celebs have found that playing with makeup is a great way to bond with their kids, especially during the COVID-19 quarantine. With the kids being forced to stay home from school and stars not heading off to work every day, what better way to pass time than with a little makeover?
Channing Tatum
The “21 Jump Street” actor, whose new children’s book is about an exuberant young girl and her dad, shared a mirror selfie on Thursday, April 15, of himself covered in what looks like purple eye shadow, with a pink blush and blue on his eyelids, and magenta on his lips.
Tatum’s manicure is only a little messy, and he’s clearly loving every minute of being dolled up, adding stickers and emojis to the post, on which he wrote “when you let your daughter do your makeup blindfolded…” with three “eyes covered monkey” emojis. That’s the look of a proud girl dad if we’ve ever seen it.
David Beckham
The doting dad was more than happy to leave his Halloween look in daughter Harper’s hands in 2019. Using Victoria’s sell-out eyeshadow palette in ‘Tuxedo’ and Harper’s makeup skills, David managed to successfully transform into the superhero Arrow. The footballer posted an adorable snap of his mini-me giving him the ultimate makeover to his Instagram story, and we’re very impressed with her beauty skills.
Mark Wahlberg
The actor and father of four was his 10-year-old daughter Grace Margaret‘s newest “salon” customer during quarantine, sitting patiently as his youngest child practiced some of her beauty techniques on her dad. Grace applied peach and lavender colors to her dad’s nails, which he showed off on his Instagram Story, teasing his daughter, “I don’t know if you’re gonna have a career in this.”
As promised, Wahlberg’s makeover continued with some color to his face, applied liberally by Grace from a nine-shade eyeshadow palette, but she decided the hues looked better on Dad’s cheeks.
Joe Wicks
The Body Coach is no stranger to dressing up, having donned a number of impressive superhero costumes during his PE With Joe home workouts amid the coronavirus crisis. But our favorite makeover has got to be when he let his daughter Indie use him as a blank canvas to test out her hair and makeup skills. With the help of her mum Rosie, one-year-old Indie styled her dad’s long curly hair in two bunches, lined his eyes with dark makeup, and proceeded to get eyeliner and lipstick all over his face and hers!
